Common Riding 2022

 

 

 

 

Selkirk Colonial Society are delighted to announce the appointment of David Hislop from France as their Standard Bearer for 2022.

 

David was appointed by the Society members at their Annual General Meeting held recently.

 

He will have his flag bussed by his wife Kay.

 

David was educated at Philiphaugh Primary School and Selkirk HighSchool and emigrated to France in 2015.

 

David is the son of Greta and Danny Hislop who was Royal Burgh Standard Bearer in 1946.

 

David and Kay are really looking forward to spending time in the Royal and Ancient Burgh and hope to attend a few functions ahead of the Common Riding, mixing time between being in Selkirk and touring in their Motorhome.

 

The Society extend its best wishes to David and Kay and wish them all the very best for their year in office and especially for their big day on Friday 17th June.
